Prize Details

Our winner will receive a pair of tickets to the preview of the New Contemporaries exhibition in London's East End, guided personally by expert in the arts, Joshua White.

www.newcontemporaries.org.uk is an annual touring exhibition selecting new talent among current art school students or recent graduates and is the visual arts equivalent of the X Factor. Each year approximately 37 young artists, chosen from 1,200 applications are given a unique opportunity to exhibit their work to the public. As an annual event first established over fifty years ago, New Contemporaries is recognised as the unique platform for new work and many of the UK's most well known artists first appeared in the show.

This year the London stage of the exhibition is being held at the Art Foundation's Club Row, a former school and an exhibition space in Shoreditch, the heart of the city's new art quarter.

The preview will be in the first week of October (exact date TBC shortly). You will need to be available from 7pm and make your own travel arrangements. Drinks and canapés will be provided.

Joshua White, of Minotaur Arts www.minotaur-arts.com will be your personal guide for the evening, providing an introduction to the current contemporary art scene, interpreting the works as you go along.

Joshua stages educational events in the visual arts for work teams and for corporate hospitality. He also runs the London Art Course: Modern and Contemporary at Christie's Education and lectures at Tate Modern and Tate Britain.

June's prize winner

Winner of our last competition, to win a framed Art on Demand print of your choice, was Becky Anstee from Ann Summers. Becky correctly identified the detail as being from Canaletto’s The River Thames with St. Paul's Cathedral on Lord Mayor's Day, c.1747-8.  Congratulations!
